Hi. I am doing an observership. I want to know if I can use the lors now for this match, or is it too late? if in case i dont match should I take the lors now itself for the next match and ask them to put a later date so as to use them for the next match as i dont know if my attendings will post the lors promptly for the next match. thanks!

Sending the LORs now to the ERAS is absolutely late for an IMG.Even if u send them now it will take two to three weeks more for the LORs to show up on the ERAS.In other words, u want to apply to programs now,but November is late for applying to programs.The deadlines of many programs have already passed.University programs r a better option because many of them start sending IVs in November,but u need to have impressive credentials in order to apply to them.
But, if u still just want to give it a try,u can.But, do not expect anything great to happen unless u have some contacts at the programs or have been asked by any of the programs that they will review yur application.But, do first check their application deadlines.IVs r possible now due to cancellations by the applicants who have accepted a prematch or who have got that many Vs that they cannot attend all of them.
It is better to get yur LORs dated within the preceding 6 months of applying to the programs.More recent the LORs ,more good it is.But, if u doubts about yur Attendings sending the LORs to ERAS or u later then better get them now.
