My question is. If you are on call in the U.S.A say New York. Then what time do you go home the next day? 12 noon, 5 pm or when?

yep thats true for most programs.

Re: On Call!!! radhamesramos - 02-03-08 18:54 It is not permitted anymore in the U.S. you can be only 80 hours during the week, and no more than 24 hours straight. Post call, that depends on the service, in some surgery services you go back home after noon...in IM you go home after morning rounds
