A phrenic nerve.
the nerve supply to the gall bladder & the phrenic nerve share the same dermatome. so when the Gall Bladder is inflamed following a stone impaction in the neck of the gall bladder it causes spasms Billiary colic RUQ pain which radiates to the back. Murphy's sign is positive when PE is done while the patient is inspiring.the is arrest of inspiration as an inflamed GB Impinges on the examining fingers. pain control is important + antiemetic.
