Mebendazole is useful in a variety of roundworm (nematode) infections including ascaris, pinworm, whipworm, and trichinosis .

babbu5508 - 07-31-10 23:34 Muscle biopsy is used for trichinosis detection. Several immunodiagnostic tests are also available. Typically patients are treated with either Mebendazole or Albendazole but efficacy of such products are uncertain

babbu5508 - 08-29-10 01:28 albendazole has an advantage of being taken as a single dose which treats infection in most individuals...though may be repeated after 1 week to be sure..
