Plan For Taking USMLE Steps

Hello every one!
I'll be happy if any one lets me know if my plan for taking tests is correct-
I would like to start with step 1 prep this month and take my step1 test in march 2011 i.e. after 7 months.
then I plan to take my step 2 CK in August 2011 followed by CS exam in Sept 2011.......will I be able to appy for 2012 residency match then...is it correct that we have to b ready with all the test scores till Sept 1...can we appply even if the scores are awaited?
Plz suggest....

U can take Step-1 in January,2011 and then take USMLE Step-2CK in the end of June,2011.U can take Step-2CS sometime in August,2011.One can apply even with only one score in hand,but,it is better to apply with all the three scores in hand and after being ECFMG certified.This because that will increase yur chances of getting interviews.
But, if the above plan seems not to be feasible then u can even delay taking these exams by a month or two.Also, never take these exams in a hurry,because these r one-time scores and u cannot improve yur scores.Donot spoil yur scores in the hurry of applying for the 2012 Match.
In my opinion, u shud at least give it a try next year no matter which scores u have in hand by then.Also make it a point to apply on September 1st.

Re: Plan For Taking USMLE Steps bingousmle - 07-19-10 09:05 make it a point that you get certified before 1 st september.. i think that is the most important criteria that will determine your number of interviews
