babbu5508 - 09-30-10 09:44 probably the answer was because pregnancy is associated with increase in the thyroid binding globulin levels and hence a decrease in serum t4.

bingousmle - 09-30-10 10:56 yeah actually multiple sclerosis improves with pregnancy and i think it worsens postpartum, guess its an important concept to know for boards

To prevent this from happening, a natural process takes place to suppress the mother's immune system in the uterus during pregnancy.
