Do u mean Preventive Medicine as in MPH?
Then, it is not a residency and can be done by the GRE/ TOEFL route itself!

Occupational Medicine, as in Sports Medicine or Physical Med & Rehabilitation?
Then, it is a residency. Not very competitive. Few IMGs compete for it though.

There are some residency programs in Preventive Medicine and Occupational Health is PGY2 in these programs. They accept paper applications, do not participate in ERAS. But if you look for them (FREIDA, i.e.) you'll find them.

Sports Medicine and Physiatry and Rehabilitation are not Occupational Medicine. You may find some programs in Physiatry participating in ERAS.

Sports Medicine is a fellowship opportunity for Family Practitioners; Same for Geriatric.

yup occupational med is not that competitive but sports med is a fellowship after fam med is very compertitive due to good lifestyle and pay scale , but there definitely are very few programs offering it ,
