I have an ive from Harvard south shore psychiatry. Now I have to face my fear, which is having inv in Internal from a crapy hospital and psych from a very good program!!!!

visit their web site, read about their program and get to know the program. Be inform about researches that they do!!
the first question will be , why psychiatry and why our program!!!
then what are your expecties from our program?
what will you bring from your past expriences to our program?
what are your gohls for your future?
last question is always, "Do you have any question from us"

I personaly think the last question is always the hardest one. Because by end of the day you have talked about everything and asked almost all the questions from others and the last person that you will see is the program director and it will look good if you have a last interesting qustion for him.
Good luck in preperation for interview.

I have a feeling its the economic debacle this country is facing. Alot of residency slots have been eliminated.

May be you are right ,but all countries are facing the economic crises these days being affected by the US economic problem .Let's hope that residencies available will not be affected .

I just finished my interview at NYMC program in Staten Island. It went terrible. I was told by the PD that they only offer positions through the prematch. They didn't offer me one today. So know I am back to square one. I just got home from a two legged flight. I am tired and pissed off.

No , you are not hallusinating!!
I keep telling you guys that scores are not the only thing that PD's are looking. It is a whol package, your past exprience, most of all having done externship and having a strong LoR from USA is very important. I brock the rouls , which is " HAVING 90 AND ABOVE IS THE MOST AND ONLY IMPORTANT CREDINTIAL".
I have by now 9 inv, which I never dreamed of 3 months ago!!!!!!
I wish for all out there GL.

but harvard, boston says something,it is world renowned university and people i have known extraordinarily genius with not only just above 90 but 99/99/99,fresh graduate with amazing LoRs, externship from John Hopkins were refused, could you tell me where did you do externship and which strong LoR have you got, that helped you get Harvard, coz i'm planning for EXTERNSHIP, so i can try those places,but from what i remember you are working only in a private office of some physician,and you are not a fresh graduate, am i right!!!
