Yes, u can get LORs from the University Professors in yur specialty of interest.Previously applicants used to get a one page Dean's Letter from the Dean/Principal of their college, but now one has to get the multi-page MSPE signed by the Dean/Principal.If yur Dean/Principal also happens to be a faculty in yur specialty of choice then u can get an LOR from him/her in that capacity.
Good Luck!

U only need to send a copy of the Medical School Transcript not the original.
As such LORs donot have a definite validity period, but it is better to get the LORs updated if one can.Yes,u can use the LORs u get now next year as well.
Good Luck!
