Regarding Refund of Step2CS Exam Fee

hi guys its end of december now and its been over 4 months that my passport is not back now i have only 2 months left in my CS eligibility period and my plan is to do some observership for 1 month before attempting CS but it seems impractical now , now i want to know that can i apply for refund based on administrative processing delayed and if yes can i apply for refund before end of my eligibility period , guys plz help me out here....

This is wat the ECFMG says about Step-2CS exam fee refund:
"Applicants registered for Step 2 CS who are unable to obtain the appropriate visa to enter the United States to take the exam may request a full refund of the exam fee."
So, u can contact the ECFMG in this regard and get the full refund of yur exam fees.

zoah2005 - 12-24-10 12:14 i contacted them and they told me that i cannot apply for refund until my eligibility period has expired , is it true? or i should contact them once again and if i get my visa only one week before the end of my eligibility period than what would i do ? i m really concerned plz guys help me out here...

Ye, they do it like that.
U will have to wait till yur eligibility period is finished.U will have to be ready to travel to the US to take the test in case u get the visa.So,continue yur prep for the exam.
Zoah,u can ask them about the situation that if u get yur visa only a week or more before yur eligibilty period ends and u r not able to book an airline ticket then wud they refund yur Step-2CS fees?
