The residency interviews happen in Nov and Dec - is that true, because I have planned my return on 19th Jan - would that stay period be fine to be able to attend interviews.

Ye, it wud be fine.This because most of the programs finish holding interviews by 15th of Jan.There r only a few programs which may hold interviews after that period.So, if u r planning to stay until 19th Jan. then that wud be in all likelihood fine for u.
