Research done in the US wud undoubtedly strengthen one's CV.U may apply for clinical research in US hospitals.U need to visit the hospital websites and send yur e.mails to the research coordinators for different specialties.Another way to find the research job is to apply for an observership in some hospital and then find out if there is any vacant position for clinical research there.
There r other research jobs called post-doctoral research jobs ,but those jobs usually need applicants to have a prior research experience ,publications and be well-versed with the various techniques like PCR,protein electrophoresis,animal handling etc.Here is awebite for post-doctoral positions: www.postdocjobs.com
