what are things people do in research at a hospital?
I never done research in hospital in past and i'm thinking of doing one. How should i approach the hospital for research? what happen if you don't know anything about what they are researching on?

Re: research position??? TheOne - 02-06-08 12:20 I think we answered such a question somewhere on the match & residency forum. But I will go through it again..
What you usually do in a research is either data collection "most common" or data analysis accompanied by other members of the research group.
You should locate the hospital/institute, contact the main researcher and offer your willingness of being part of the team.
Commonly, many new researchers "who knew nothing" are offered an orientation to guide them through what they should be doing and what the main researcher is expecting them to do. You won't be lost and will learn more everyday. Good luck.

andara - 02-06-08 23:57 thanks. yesterday i was thinking of walking into hospital with mycv and ask if can work in research dept, but i'm not sure i could do that. i think should call first, right?

Re: research position??? doctor1 - 02-12-08 11:33 go to the website fo the university look up the faculty list start mailing each one of them if u are interested in the area of their research , be honest abt ur lack of experinece they usuay tend to teach u good luck
