radhamesramos - 02-25-08 09:19 Internship is the Post Graduate year (PGY) 1 of any specialty, externship is a rotation you do as a last year med student, usually as an elective, or after graduation because is not intended to be part of your curriculum necessary for graduating. Clerkships are the mandatory rotations for med students in different specialties
