drbipinsingh - 01-07-08 18:56
i have given step1,step2CK, and CS and now doing (i don't know what) in a private clinic in Columbus,Ohio. Have tried to contact different hospitals here but they say the criterion is one year of USCE.
Also i am on B1 visa for 6 months. This is my position and need to know if i can apply for post match scramble or contact prgrmme directors i know for residency?

Re: Residency Eligibility?
TheOne - 01-07-08 19:58 You can apply for post-match scramble once you register through ERAS & NRMP. There are late fees for that, but that doesn't make a big deal. Go ahead and resgister to be more prepared for the scramble.
Good luck.

mindswapper - 01-07-08 22:37 Dude, it IS possible for one to register in the NRMP now!
The last date and the schedule is given here: http://www.nrmp.org/res_match/yearly.html
But u gotta go for the Late registration.
But if u apply for the ERAS now, then u will be late for most programs as their deadlines would have expired by now. BUT u can participate in the Scramble though (like what TheOne said).
Check this out too:

drbipinsingh - 01-08-08 15:48 Hi Thank u so much.I checked the link u had sent and have come to know that the Late Registration deadline for NRMP is 27th feb.Does that mean that i can participate in the post match scramble by registering through NRMP?? and what about ERAS...most programs accept application through eras and their deadlines are over. Can i still get myself registered in eras and take part in the PM scramble in march??

TheOne - 01-08-08 15:56 Yes...
Register now through both ERAS and the NRMP. You should have them to be part of the scramble.

mindswapper - 01-08-08 15:59 1. The registration in the NRMP is for your Scramble.
2. Some programs accept applications 'for the Scramble' thru the ERAS only and hence u might need it.
What I meant by: "their deadlines are over" is for the regular interview season and the Match!
