. I am an IMG and graduated in 1995 . I complete trained in plastic surgery in Thailand. Actully I would like to train in US. I try to match for 3 years but failed.So now I think I an too old to train .I really want to know how old the oldest resident is.

Anything beyond 4-5 years of graduation is considered "Old" in many programs.

doctor1 - 02-12-08 10:25 there arer enough really old grads here but be persistent in ur attempts , i am sure ur experince should count here , work up ur foerign contacts ur ols school friends

Dude, he is a Plastic Surgeon, a well established super-specialist. How cud he change his field?
Why shud he do that now?

radhamesramos - 02-19-08 19:21 yeah! Sounds hard to go to psy after being a plastic surgeon. You can try to do a fellowship in hand surgery or something like that, but you won't be able to practice in the U.S. If your priority is the US, polastic surgery even if you are a plastic surgeon is almost impossible
