I am a IMG, did my pre-med in puerto rico and studied in UCE Dominican Republic.
I have been license in Puerto Rico since 2002 and have been practicing medicine in different scenarios.

I ask, can I match for a residency training with me being licensed in Puerto Rico USA. I am aware though that I can practice medicine in diferrent scenarios with the federal goverment and need no further testing(USMLE). As a matter of fact I have a part time job with a federal agency in puerto rico.

thankyou, hope to hear from you soon, tony

Even US citizens should take the USMLE "A.K.A. NBME" to be eligible for licensure and to participate in a residency training. Check the NBME website for further information and contact them regarding your status.

What you mean by Licencing is La Revalida? If it is so, you should know before anybody that La Revalida is not accepted in continental US, and not for training in Puerto Rico. If you passed the Steps, you can take Step III and get your licence in the US, ans apply for residency if you wish so

To get a licence, one shud pass ALL the steps and shud have done atleast a part of residency training (which varies with different state).

Passing Step 3 alone is not enuff!
