on Feb 6 the program director of one of the programs that I have had interviewed sent me an email that they will be happy to answer any question that could help me to choose my rank order list. what do you think I should do ? can I ask them about how did they rank me or that is a violation ?

InSitu - 02-08-08 00:58 Asking them how they ranked you maybe a violation but I have seen many doing it...just be careful and make sure you read the NRMP violation pages carefully.

Re: Residency
taghrid - 02-08-08 01:35 I think it is OK to ask, if you feel they are interested in you, But Does is it make any difference if they tell you how high they ranked you, I think this will put you in a lot of stress if you did not match, I have the same here so I deceided not to ask, some will say they ranked you high and give you false assurence, And find yourself not matched after you put your hopes up!!, Try to look for all opportunities available and not to hold into fase understanding, Good Luck

radhamesramos - 02-09-08 15:10 They woud tell you that they rank ou in their top, medium or lowest third, that would't be a violation to the match. Just be careful how you ask it

Re: Residency
mindswapper - 02-13-08 15:42 I do not think anybody wud answer: Oh, we have ranked you pretty low!
They have a std reply to all. Dont u think so?
But it is necessary to show ur interest though! And do not ignore that e-mail!

Re: Residency
radhamesramos - 02-14-08 11:09 but sometimes they tell yu that they ranked you in the medium tier, which is not to say low, in the pper tier, means ranked high
