Re: score for admission in internal medicine InSitu - 05-15-08 14:47 Anything above 200 for IM is possible and over 210 for GS. That is not a cut off point and there maybe many exceptions where people with passing score get GS. What do you guys think?

The thing is that the competition has become so though that every case should be anlyzed one by one. Nowadays besides the exams you need other things like: year of graduation, USCE, LORs, a good PS, having or not the Step 3, and of course knowing which specialty you are applying to, and knowing which hospitals you are applying to.

Re: score for admission in internal medi radhamesramos - 05-16-08 08:57 When I had my interviews, there were at every program 4-5 guys with double 99s and 1 or 2 years out of med school, 1 or two publications that all had been in clerkships or observerships, and they were interviewing in community based programs: you asked them what were they doing there, they had like 16 interviews and felt like the competition was though...and it is though, so just don't rely with scores, this is getting a closer competition every year
