Dear crew of Doctok,
I hear you guys talking about gaps in CV and how they don't like them, is that in only certain states like Illinois, or all the states?
How would they expect no gaps from IMGs specially when IMGs are in the US with GC and they can't work without a license?

None likes gaps in an applicant's CV.But, some states like Illinois r too strict about this issue. Then there r many ways like earning CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits, doing research, etc. to bypass this obstacle.
Good Luck!

Dear adonis, thanks again for your help.
so even if I have gaps, earning CME will abolish that?

If you bare with me, what is the process of earning CME, can I do it online, how to register for it, how much should I do?

Ye, in most cases it will make up for the gap in yur CV.
U can earn CME credits online thro' many websites.
Go to the following link and see if it helps:

http://www.chall.com/product-cme-credits.php

U can search for many others on the internet.
Usually 150 CME credit hours will suffice.
Good Luck!

dear adonis, thanks again for your help.
I checked the website, so from what I understood, I have to purchase their products, and read the questions then take their quiz on the same questions and score 80 or more, is that right?

I want to apply to FM, IM, psychiatry so what package of products should I purchase IM or FM or it doesn't matter?

Their price is $995, is that the regular price?

Thanks

Yes, it is what u say.
Earn CMEs in the specialty u wanna go into.Though it is not essential but it will be helpful.Actually it the number of credit hours which matter.
It is not the regular price. It is somewhat expensive.U can search for other other such companies on the internet.
Good Luck!
