good day...im a pediatrician here in the philippines and just finished my residency training last jan..i would like to pursue my subspec in neonatology or hema...given the chance, i want to spend it there in the US....any advise?would i repeat my residency training there after USMLE or take chances in pursuing it to subspecialty...pls help me out...thanks a lot..

If u wanna go back, then do fellowship directly!
But whatever option, u gotta take the USMLE steps.

Re: subspecialty or residency training radhamesramos - 02-09-08 16:24 You can do a fellowship, but you need to pass the exams ,a and cannot practice the specialty in the U.S. afterwards. Or you can do the specialty n the U.S. all over again

If somebody has done residency in their home country, then they can do fellowship here without doing residency in the US.
