If u wanna practise independently in the US, u gotta do residency again in the US.

If u wanna go back, then do fellowship directly!

But whatever option, u gotta take the USMLE steps.

You can do a fellowship, but you need to pass the exams ,a and cannot practice the specialty in the U.S. afterwards. Or you can do the specialty n the U.S. all over again

Whoever it is - American or not, whatever option it is - residency or fellowship; ALL hafta take the USMLE steps!

If somebody has done residency in their home country, then they can do fellowship here without doing residency in the US.
