a 60 year old was diagnosed to have an appendicular mass and was undergoing conservative management .on the fourth day she developed features of early septic shock.as the patient was not recovering laparatomy was done....

causes for hematuria could be acute glomerulonephritis,tb,nephroblastoma,renal cell carcinoma,transitional cell carcinoma...etc ... these r a few ....

well uretheric causes are due to stones....causes in the bladder are CA bladder ,CA prostate,cystitis,tb,bph,stone(which is common in school going children)

interstitial cystitis is also known as hunners ulcer,common in western female patients,many of them are psyciatric patients........

ok fine... there is severe fibrosis of the urinary bladder due to pancystitis resulting in a small thimble bladder,frequency and pain due 2 decreased bladder capacity....

cystoscopy and biopsy will confirm the diagnosis...treatment is difficult ,hydrostatic dilatation,instilllation of dimethyl sulphoxide or surgical procedures such as ileocystoplasty have been tried..

epididymal cyst------it is cystic degeneration of the appendages of epididymis,it is congenital...it is multilocular,the contents are watery and crystal clear....

it has brilliant transillumination giving the appearance of chinese lantern pattern..excision of the cyst may be necessary if the cyst is large..

spermatocoele is an acquired condition-retention cyst,it is unilocular,its contents are barley water like,poor transillumination..............
