I have not heard about ani fmg friendly plastic surgery program but I think you can find some in trauma surgery. Try UNDMJ in Newark I know at least one fmg who did trauma there.
By the way it's good question . It would be nice to hear about other possible places.Any ideas?

Trauma surgery in UM/Jacksons is very FMG friendly, right now they have 4 FMG attendings there (who trained with them-one a brazilian who did surgery in Brazil and did the Fellowship with them) and 5 Fellows (1 that trained as surgeon in the U.S, and the other 4 who are international fellows).

The fellowship so is not very hard to get to an IMG, the problem is getting a Surgery program (by the way they take a lot of IMGs for preliminary positions, but is very though to continue as categorical, because it is a very competitive program)

Prelims are the best bet for an IMG. But the life after a Prelim yr is still a gamble and an uncertainity.

But fellowships are easier coz u are inside the system!

and Traume fellowship is easy to get so far, cause no money and lots, I mean LOTS f work
