hi adonis.. i have a doubt in CCS cases.. how to advance the clock in an office case after i order the basic work up.. i tried calling the patient after the test results come, but then the next window that pops up on its own is about the patients conditions

Do u mean the next window which pops up gives an update about the patient's condition?What does it say?

bingousmle - 06-18-10 13:26 it is about the condition of the patient after i have changed the location of the patient to home and before the next scheduled apartment which i make after all the results are available

It is nothing unusual,but a fairly understandable process to keep the physician updated about the patient's condition.
As this is a non-emergent office case,so it is a good tactic to call the patient when the test results r available so that u as a physician cud advise him about further treatment.Obviously, it is useless to call the patient without having his/her reports available.So, u r so far on the right track.Now,after u advance the clock see what happens next.

Simulated time will change only when :
You advance the clock
Do a physical
Do a 'Interval' history
If you order the tests and wait, nothing will show up. Simulated time will not change but your real time will run.
Advance the clock to make things happen. However, check the 'report' time of your orders on the order sheet, know what you are waiting for and then advance the clock to that 'particular' report time.
Sometimes, you can advance the clock in a way that can make you look very efficient. Move the 'Simulated time' to the 'Report' time that you are waiting for by 'completing a previously unfinished physical' or by 'Interval/ follow up' history. Interval history will advance the clock by 2 minutes.

these were the pearls of wisdom i was hugely missing on the CCS practise cases and was thinking how should i go about it.. thanks a lot adonis!!
