I asked you about Lehigh Valley because it is an institution that holds a lot of foreign doctors (most of them dominican) working as counselor; the info that psy counseling is not considered clinical experience comes from the fact that I've known several of this doctors doing as counselor, and when they applied their experience is not taken as Clinical experience, the good thing is that all of them eventually got a position in Psychiatry, but doing some modifications to their applicaation. In your case you can use the obsie with the psychiatrist, that is more important as a Clinical Experience, but a lot of programs do not consider this as very strong, anyways that is a Clinical Experience

Look, to tell you boldly, you are not doing a medical job, psy counseling is for counselors or psychologists, which are not medical graduates. But the good thing is that you work with psychiatrists, talk to them, tell them what your interests are, and then they will understand you, they will let you work with them in their consult or checking their patients, they would give you great clinical experience, and then they would write a good , honest LOR depicting your experience. Also, if the relationship is good, they can even contact some friends, and give you a hand
