The following medical conditions are some of the possible causes of Scrotal mass.
• Inguinal hernia
• Testicular cancer – seminoma,sertoli-leydig cell tumor
• Hydrocele
• Epididymitis
• Testicular torsion
• Varicocele
• Lymphoma
• Testicular cyst
• Matastases
• Epididymal cyst
• Epididymo-orchitis
• Haematocele
• Hydrocoele of testis
• Inguinal hernia
• Lipoma of spermatic cord
• Mumps
• Scrotal haematoma
• Spermatocele
• Testicular torsion
• Varicocoele

Diagnostic testing should include ultrasonography if examination cannot clearly distinguish solid
from cystic masses; and β-human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), and α-fetoprotein if the mass is solid and testicular cancer is suspected

A scrotal mass can be benign (generally harmless) or malignant (cancerous). Benign scrotal masses include:

Varicocele -- a varicose vein along the spermatic cord
Hydrocele -- fluid collection in the scrotum
Hematocele -- blood collection within the scrotum
Spermatocele -- a cyst-like mass within the scrotum that contains fluid and dead sperm cells
Scrotal masses can be caused by inflammatory or infectious diseases (for example, epididymitis), physical injury to the scrotum, herniation (inguinal hernia), or tumors.
