on the visa form can i mention the duration of stay as three months?? i cn validate tht by ssayin tht i need to take a study partner fr the exam n prepare ther n once im done with the exam i need to ccheck out the univs whr i'l apply fr matchin n stuff....i hope the duration of stay wont go against me? in the visa interview??

Duration won't matter much.Tell them u need to take some courses for Step-2CS and u need to practice there with a practice partner before u take the test.Also, tell them that u will be there in order to attend the interviews and do some observerships.
They usually give a 10 year multiple entry visa or in some cases a 1 year multiple entry visa.Sometimes they may even give a single entry visa.So,even if u mention a duation of 6 months u will not have any problem if u can explain a bit.Remeber, on a B1/B2 visa one can be in the US for a maximum of 6 months unless he/she applies for an extension.
