hi is it good to apply from 1 sept or one can even apply till last week of sept i have heard tht the application process is like first come first so its better to apply from first sept the othre question how many steps required for ecfmg certification

U can apply anytime during the ERAS application cycle , but it is better to apply early on Sept 1st coz wen everyone is doing so then y shud not u.As many programs start sending interviews in the first week of September itself so it is simple common sense that they will choose the candidates from among the applicants who have applied to them.
However, it is pertinent to mention that only early application does not fetch anyone interviews,scores and other credentials r the primary factors responsible for getting a good number of interviews.
