2 yr old child presents with fever, cold symptoms for 3 days, now presented with brassy barking cough for 1 day. on examination: intermittent inspiratory stridor present at rest.

Mx is symptomatic only.

(a) acute croup
(b) Since this pt have stridor present at rest ---> have to admit pt --->recemic epinephrine & IM dexamethasone used ---->observed for 2-4 hr for rebound ---> if improves ---> can be discharged home now
