Your opinion....please

The Doctok threads are arranged to show the last page of the posts instead of going to first page the moving up the pages. Do you like Doctok to keep it this way or you want it to show first page all the time then click the thread then moving up page by page?

Pick one:

A) Click to see first page then move up?
B) Click to see last page first the go back? (as it is set now)

Whats your suggestions?

We need as many suggestions to make a good decision. Please give us detailed opinion. :)

Thanks.

I do not clearly understand from the options.

But what I wud suggest is:
Have the 'latest' and 'active' threads at the top/ 1st.
And have the 'old' threads behind/ in subsequent pages.

And also have a 'warning dialog box' to open, when somebody tries to post a new thread, like this:
"Have you already searched this website and all the threads? Is ur Q still not answered? Do you still wanna post it?"

This is necessary coz the forum is full of 'repetition' and junk!

The forum is already set to show new on top and on first page. My question was about the POSTS in the threads. WE have them arranged from Old to new but when click the page the system takes to to tha last page which has the new posts then you go backward to read the old. This set up is good for frequent members since they can go to last posts and no need to go over the old posts they read before. But for new people they have to go back to page one to read the posts onward.

As far as the warning message I do not see it very possible to do that since it may discourage them from posting but we will consider adding a message when click to start new thread without the warning messager to popup.

Repetition maybe good. :)

Thanks for clarifying InSitu...

1. The website is good as it is! Old threads behind and New threads in page 1.
2. As for the posts: The present set-up looks good too!
3. I hate repetition. Ppl shud have the patience to go thru old threads. We cannot spoon-feed info! Doctors are professionals!

Thanks InSitu, I am happy that my suggestion is considered and looked into!

I have also raised some Qs regarding the issue of deleting or editing one's own posts in another new thread. Pls look into it too!

You are welcome. Deleting is not a chice since this will create instability to every database. Only Mods can delete and onlt when necesary BUT we will make it possible for all to edit thier own posts. Why not.
